Friuli: from Frattina to the territories of the Arconi<\/h1>\n

The “Grave del Friuli” area, characterized by spring-fed soil and abundant irrigation, stretches along the Tagliamento River, between the provinces of Pordenone and Udine. This plain was formed by the floods of rivers that, over millennia, have carried and deposited dolomitic debris downstream. The soil is a fortunate combination of clay and stones. The proximity to the sea also gives the soil a saline character, with a skeleton rich in fossils and shells, while the Alps protect it from northern winds, providing optimal conditions for viticulture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The vineyards are concentrated between the municipalities of Pravisdomini and Pasiano, historically along the Pedemonte and Risorgive routes. Various areas include Frattina, which is influenced by the saline imprint of the nearby sea, and the calanchi of the Arconi, with their poor and dry soils. In Villacriccola and Villa Raccolta, there are the resistant vineyards dedicated to PIWI wines. The training system is primarily Guyot.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
