As a young man, he managed vineyards with his family, using the traditional &#8216;bellussera&#8217; method of the Treviso landowners. In the 1960s, with the need to replace the Piave area\u2019s willow poles for the vineyards, Gianni, together with his brother, began producing concrete poles, eventually establishing Spinazz\u00e8 at a global level in the viticulture and fruit-growing industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/gianni-spinazze_650x440.jpg\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/chi-siamo-podere_650x440.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<div>1975: The First Vineyard<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The first vineyard dates back to the 1970s in the Piave area, with Merlot and Cabernet among the reds and Chardonnay. It was worked on weekends and evenings, stealing time from the production of concrete poles. Then came the Baite, on the border with Friuli, and the first quality productions. In the 1980s and 1990s, Gianni, always attracted by Friuli with its &#8216;cappuccina&#8217; vineyards and important wines, decided to invest and plant a new property in the Frattina area, a historic wine-growing location in the Pordenone region. This led to actual winemaking with the founding of the winery and the first labels &#8216;Podere del Ger,&#8217; later becoming Terre di Ger, following the acquisition of new plots and the planting of new vineyards.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>The Turning Point<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>The change for the company occurred in the last decade through a new agronomic and winemaking project, with the planting of resistant grape varieties and in-depth research on the potential of the wines produced from them. The goal is to reduce the environmental impact of phytosanitary treatments, protect nature, and establish sustainable farming practices in contrast to widespread monoculture. New opportunities arise, boundaries expand, and the comparison and coexistence with other territories become interesting.
