Vigneto delle Baite

The Baite Vineyard takes its name from the area in which it is located, not far from the small village of Basalghelle near the town of Mansuè. This is the very first Terre di Ger’s vineyard, planted by Mr Gianni Spinazzè in person. The historic road leading to the ancient Benedectine monastery of Baite passes next to the vineyard, this was the “road of salts”, connecting the Adriatic Sea to the Pre-Alps. These plots of land have a high clay percentage, the vines are protected from the northern cold winds  and the climate is mitigated by the influence of the Adriatic Sea, just thirty Km from here. The total vineyard is about nine hectares, and was planted in 2002.
